Ngoma y'Africa Cultural Center (NACC) is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization established in the year 2016.
We are dedicated to teaching the community about African cultures and to creating a support network for African descent families in Utah.
At our center, you can benefit from the following programs:
- Learn about African culture through storytelling, history, music, arts & crafts, poetry, cuisine, and languages spoken in Africa such as French, Kinyarwanda, Zulu, Lingala, and Swahili. We offer educational classes and workshops.
- Experience Africa through cultural events such as stage performances; our annual African Heritage Festival; presentations at school assemblies, churches, corporations, marriages; and holiday celebrations such as Black History Month, Christmas, Juneteenth, and Kwanzaa.
- Empower our community by offering resources for cultural integration, youth mentorship, financial literacy, health promotion, and economic development such as creating partnership opportunities between African entrepreneurs and Utah businesses.
- Communicate through Ubuntu Series which are monthly community conversations on diversity, equity, and inclusion with a purpose to heal and to unite ourselves, our communities, our nations, and the world.
At our culture learning center, we aim to create a safe environment where different cultures come together in the African spirit of UBUNTU of diversity, humanity, unity, partnership, collaboration, and inclusion.
