Ngoma y'Africa Cultural Center (NACC) is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization based in Utah, United States of America.
We are dedicated to teaching the community about African cultures and to creating a support network for African diaspora families in Utah.
At our center, you can benefit from the following programs:
- Learn about African culture through storytelling, history, music, dancing, drumming, arts & crafts, poetry, cuisine, and languages spoken in Africa such as French, Kinyarwanda, Zulu, Lingala, and Swahili. We offer educational classes, workshops, presentations and youth camps.
- Experience Africa through cultural events such as stage performances; our annual African Heritage Festival; presentations at school assemblies, churches, corporations, and marriages; and holiday celebrations such as Black History Month, Christmas, Juneteenth, and Kwanzaa.
- Empower by connecting our community to resources for cultural integration, youth mentorship, financial literacy, health promotion, and economic development. For example, we try to create partnership opportunities between African entrepreneurs and Utah businesses.
- Communicate through our Ubuntu Series Podcast which has monthly community conversations on diversity, equity, and inclusion with the purpose of healing and to uniting ourselves, our communities, our nations, and the world.
At our culture learning center, we aim to create a safe environment where different cultures come together in the African spirit of UBUNTU--the spirit of diversity, humanity, unity, partnership, collaboration, and inclusion.
